Ev and Video

For those of you that may follow this blog, I have been kind of busy lately.  Most of you know that I have been raising Evie, who is now 8 1/2 months old. She is a handful, with a knee injury (quickly recovered) which I thought was a cruciate ligament injury, continued loose stool, a GI problem which I may have finally solved with Pectillan and a hip dysplasia scare.  Ugh!  She is not food motivated which is something I have not experienced to in 14 years as a proponent of positive reward based training.  I am finally getting used to praise instead of food as a reward and I’m forever learning how to be a better trainer and human being.

I have resumed training other people’s dogs, after videoing several training sessions for a projected DogMentalist project that my videographer/production partner suggests may have some appeal.  It takes time to produce, shoot, edit and sell the concept of DogMentalism, which is stressful. Hope that your interest in dogs is satisfied with what I am doing.  I have stopped blogging as much due to the lack of responses from the readers of my blog.  I will and do publish some of my written and video blogs on Facebook which people seem to like, or better said they don’t give me negative reviews and comments.  If you like what you see and want to see more, please send me questions, comments individual stories about yours or other people’s dogs and I will try to address them.  You can also review me on Google, like me and my Dogmentalist.com page on Facebook, or directly send me comments, questions or stories about your dog or your experiences with dogs.
